Something else is in my room

The day before yesterday I woke up and found white stuff near my door. When I opened the door, at both corners, there were what looked like paint scrapings. Just white small pieces of paint at the door. I didn’t give it much thought.

Today, I was watching Lost with my brother in the living room. I thought I saw something scurrying across the floor into my brother’s room. I thought maybe it’s just a plastic bag thingie. Another Lost episode later, I saw more movement, but this time it went inside my room. Funny plastic bag, I thought ….

Julian : “Did you see that squirrel?”
Jason : “It looked more like a plastic bag, or a lizard … ”
Julian : “I’m pretty sure it’s a squirrel, or a rat”

So I paused the show. My brother closed the door. It being 2am and all, we didn’t want to wake up the resident rat-killer ( my dad ). So we went downstairs. I got a broom and a dustpan. My brother took a mop. When I reached my room, I changed my mind about my weapons. I switched to a baseball bat and an electric mosquito racket instead.

I was thinking “Alright, time to kill something bigger than a mosquito. Time to be a man …”. And so we searched under the beds for a while. Then we concluded that it must have went out the window.

I guess the paint scrapings were from the little vermin trying to claw itself out of the door. No wonder I thought I heard some stuff the night before. Like scratching or whatever. And to think I was sleeping soundly while it was scurrying around the room and scratching the door.

Imagine being woken up at night to the sound of scratching on your door. Speaking of creeping myself out, I was driving around Bukit Tunku today. That place is always so misty at night! I remember driving past the same empty lot and having a little chill and not daring to look at my rear view mirror.

That’s it, tonight I’m not sleeping with the window open.

yeah, drive up alone. oh and btw, the place is guarded, so you can’t go in thru the main entrance. you have to park your car about the bend after the second hill, and walk up, i think its fenced up these days, so you have to climb the fence too…

p.s; take a camcoder along, if you come back, we’ll make it a movie night out of it.
