smurfs and communism
I was reading up smurfs on wikipedia (don’t ask why) and some controversy caught my eye. Apparently some people think that smurfs are communists. Here’s why:
- they all wear the same clothes
- they share stuff with each other
- each smurf has a specialized role
- they collected their food , and distributed it fairly
- nobody sells the food
- S.M.U.R.F might stand for Socialist Men Under Red Father
- Finance Smurf once tried to introduce currency to the village, and everything was in chaos
- The enemy , Gargamel wants to turn the smurfs into gold. Gargamel represents the greed of capitalism
And Papa smurf looks like Karl Marx.

and yeah kurt , they don’t really have new smurfs right ? their numbers don’t look like they’re increasing at all …
i love smurf this cartoon, watched it when i was kid..
but now no more..can’t find it..
