Misdirected anger

I’ve been having a terrible fever the past few days. Sorry guys for cancelled plans and no-shows, I really want to go out and eat. Do you think it’s possible to get sick by being upset at yourself ?

Being upset leads to mild depression. Under that condition for a certain period of time, you’ll get sick!

jp: Perhaps perhaps .. but I’m not upset anymore .. so I should be getting well soon rite

Everything’s psychosomatic!

jp: Thanks ! I learnt a new word today !

Omg, that’s me in that comic: Passive-aggressive Pete, who tells everyone “it’s okay,” when really, I just want to scream incoherently and yell “IT’S NOT OKAY TO TREAT ME LIKE THAT!”

Feel better soon. Treat yourself nicely: sleep lots, drink water, play video games, eat chocolate, have sex . . . oh, maybe not yet.

jp: Hahah , you even nicknamed yourself Passive-aggresive Pete. And Ouch , no sex yet !

A paraphrased quote from Yoda…

“…Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering…”

jp: ..and suffering leads to the dark side..err I mean fever.

yes, the equation goes something like this

being angry at yourself = negative feelings about yourself which drives down your immuno system

so being angry at yourself + weather + germs and all the other icky stuff = sick jason.

get well soon because you still need to go lunch with me!

jp: roger that ! tell my fever to bugger off!!

Ur, I think you got sick becuase you’re back in Malaysia. After months of being abroad, you’re body got used to Australian life and germs. Now, you’re getting used to home germs again.

jp: ohnoes, does that mean I will get sick again when I go back to Australia ? :(

“Do you think it’s possible to get sick by being upset at yourself ?”
I believe it is possible.

The state of mental happiness / sadness will eventually lead to healthiness / unhealthiness thingies.

Hence, it is always good to remain in a happy state, even in the worst possible times.

Start practicing the 90/10 Principle, mate.
(Duh! I sound so preachy! -_-)

jp: hooray ! thanks , i’m feeling much better now
Hope you get well soon yargh! :D
