Kanashibari
Ever had one of those days where you couldn’t wake up? You’re aware that you’re awake but you just can’t move ? Okay, I’m not talking about hangovers or pure laziness. I’m talking about sleep paralysis. It feels like you’re weighed down physically. You can’t move or speak. You might have chest pressure . And sometimes a presence is felt.
My brother had one a few months ago. His eyes were closed , but he was wondering why he hadn’t waken up yet. He tried to move but he felt like someone was holding him down.
His eyes opened momentarily, dream or not , he saw a hooded man sitting beside his bed.
He awakened later , felt his chest slight constricted and he was breathing heavily.
For further information on sleep paralysis:
(Kanashibari is the japanese saying for sleep paralysis. Sleep paralysis is also blamed for hallucinations including alien abductions , out of body experiences ..etc etc )
GOSH! and i tot im the only one experiencing this ..what u call…sleep paralysis! WHen i had it, i tot i was posessed or somethihng. It was really scary! @_@ I didnt saw anyTHING in my “dream”, instead i experienced repetitive words gradually ringing in my head. And i do remember seeing white stuff. It was scary cuz i tried so hard to open my eyes. I couldn’t move a muscle even i was desperately trying to. Once awaken i would have to walk around or visit the toilet b4 sleeping again, if not, i would find myself inside the same situation again. sobBBies**

Nick : regurgitating ?? haha , nolar .. this sleep paralysis was from my brother. He did some research because a dredg album is based on sleep paralysis. He found out that he was experiencing it too.

eh,dont play play,man…i went thru the same thing once.as if someone was forcing me down on my bed,and i saw a shadow by my side, talking in one of those satanic voices from movies.
my christian friend told me that it was because if a dreamcatcher i had just bought,supposedly dreamcatchers are satanic.i threw it away immediately.ask your bro to check his room for anything new,anything which could’ve caused such a visit.
the more logical explanation would be that sometimes,when you’re just too exhausted,your mind is caught between fantasy and reality.your body is already weakened,causing you to feel as if you have no control over the force pushing against you.and since you’re neither awake nor asleep,your mind confuses sub-conscious images with reality,hence the hooded figure.

So that’s what its called! I kept hearing these ghost stories about how people felt as if a ghost was sitting on them and at the same time i heard that there was a scientific explanation for it. AHH! u have enlightened me! =)
Oh yeah. And i asked raymond what lucid meant, so i could get a better picture of what lucid dreaming is. and he said ” something sexual?”

I’ve looked through my brother’s room. There isn’t anything suspicious or remotely satanic. But I did found some voodoo dolls thingie, but i’ll leave that for the next blog post ….
