ennui
Hey there boys and girls! Today we learn a new word, ennui (pronounced ahn-we). It’s a feeling of disastifaction resulting from boredom or lack of interest. That’s exactly how I feel right now.
How did I end up here? Because today is a very boring day:
- I wake up
- I make a cup of coffee
- I read some comics
- I eat bread with Nutella
- I play some games on my laptop
- I eat a typical student meal (which is Indomee)
- I take an afternoon nap after my meal
- I wake up in the evening
- I make a cup of coffee
- I read some comics
- I made dinner
- I watch some tv
- I am online again
HOLY SHIT, this is not the reason I came to study here in Australia! What happen to my adventures? What happen to my curiosity? What happened to talking to strangers?
Seems like I’m in a comfort zone already.
From now on, I’ll visit a place or do something I’ve never done before at least once a week!
Actually, I’ve already started this adventuring 2 weeks ago. That’s why I went to the previous 2 events I blogged about. I was supposed to go to Gold Coast today, but my classmates cancelled because of assignments and exams.
Well, next week I’m going to watch ballet. Just because I’ve never seen before.
@_@

there will be days like that la. other than that you’ve been quite happening already! if you were happening every day you’d be SO broke!
well, u couldn’t expect “adventure” or “excitement” 2 happen everyday rite? I think a day or two of a lazy student routine is fine… sometimes when u r too busy wif life, u would wish u could do the thing u did 4 today. At the same time, I do agree wif the “moodiness” caused by lack of interest in things, it happens 2 me on every monday, I call it monday blues, hahahhahahaha…
First to post! *Dancing in circles* Go play with kangaroos, kidnap a koala bear. Or do the bollywood thingy and roll down the hills. Hehehe…
Btw, Nutella is yummy~~~
That’s pretty much a summary of my year in Melbourne.
Oh, the regret.
Well, at least I made the Sexpo. YEAHHHH

Well, good on ya for wanting to get off your arse and explore. But, I have to agree with farah; there will be days like that. Which is good cause if you’re adventuring everyday, you’d be wanting a breather instead.

ENNUI is one of my absolute favorite words! I learned it from a grisley alphabet book that listed twenty-six different ways that children died (illustrated by Edward Gorey!).
“Emily died of ennui.”
That was me, today, at work. I almost went into a boredom coma during a painfully slow two-hour meeting.
