a great sunday

These days, I find it very helpful to remind myself of the things that I’m grateful of. Lets do today:

Me and my family went out for breakfast in the morning in Manjalara. Maybe its just part of growing up, but I really relate well with my parents these days. I’m starting to see things the way they do and I really understand how it is like to be an adult sometime. I’d hate to admit it but it seems like they’re always right about life!

In the afternoon, my friends came over and we played Street Fighter IV. I don’t know how it happened, but it’s become Street Fighter Sunday every week in my house. I’m sure one day, even when uninvited my friends will just turn up in my room and start playing! Hahah, I kid, but I really look forward to kick their ass ever week.

Later on I took my family out for dinner and treated my dad (well, he paid first but I’ll pay him back) for fathers day. I think I’ll make it a point to take my family out every Sunday if I can. We spend a little more these days, because I’m now contributing to the household. I used to want to move out of the house, because I wanted independence and freedom. Now I don’t mind staying at home and contributing to the household actually makes me happy!

I then took a nap after dinner. Yes, I took a night nap and it felt great.

At about 10 I went jamming with my brother and my cousin. We played some Incubus and Death Cab For Cutie songs. This was the tightest and most solid jamming session we had, as we all knew the songs by heart. We went through the songs without restarting at all! Soon enough we could even play other songs we didn’t rehearse, and even improvised at the end of one song. This was also the first time we took the Boss GT-10 guitar multi-effects pedal to be studio-tested. Made some crazy sounds with it! Everything else clicked like clockwork and it was a damned satisfying session.

Which leaves me here now, typing all this and feeling great about my life.

All in all, I’d say its a great sunday!
