“One day it will have to be admitted that what we have christened reality is an even greater illusion than the world of dreams”
The toilet has been my second home for the past 2 days. You see, one should never mix old and new milk together unless you want to get a horrible food poisoning complete with vomiting and constant toilet visits.
I pity my housemates. At least there was an air-freshener.
On the first night, I found it quite ironic that Miss Evo asked me on msn “Hey, you haven’t gotten sick since you came to Australia haven’t you?”. To which I replied “Oh gawd, I think the milk is acting up. Excuse me while I go vomit. Be right back”. Of course I couldn’t go right back because I vomited, went to the toilet and took a nap.
Repeat that cycle throughout Wednesday night and the whole of Thursday and you have a rough idea of what I’ve basically been up to the past 2 days. So if people ask me how is life, I can say without irony, “Life is shit”.
Not only did I miss classes and not eat a single thing, I also stood up a Japanese cutie which I was supposed to meet. All because of old milk.
Well, I’m feeling much better now thanks to some pills my house mate gave me. I’m still visiting the toilet very often, but at least the vomiting has stopped. Perhaps I should go and look for some charcoal pills tomorrow.
Arghhhh ….

my two greatest fears
the cane toad
Once upon a time, I used to read the encyclopedia before I sleep. One day I was reading “T” and while flipping through the pages, I stumbled upon Toad. It had a huge picture of a Cane Toad in it and I promptly threw the encyclopedia across the room.
Some of you may know that I have a fear of frogs/toads.
With all my resolve, I picked up the encyclopedia to try and look at the picture again. After a few attempts, I managed to look at it. I also read up about these critters.
Turns out they were brought into Australia to control sugar cane pests. The cane toads themselves overpopulated and became pests. Here’s some fast facts about these pests:

the size of a cane toad
An Australian classmate of mine told me that cane toads are much more common far from the city. During mating season, the whole road would be swarmed with a toad orgy. It is also this time which he and his friends would drive around, hoping to smash as many as they can.
I hope I don’t see one here in Brisbane.
