  • Graduated from University!
  • Got a job

  • Changed my worldview quite a bit
  • Two of my uncles passed away

Well, that’s what I got from a quick read through of my blog entries. I’m sure I missed out something here and there. Hmmm.

the truman syndrome

Friday, June 16th, 2006
When I was 12, I imagined that the whole world I lived in is fake. Everything is a movie set and everyone are actors. For what purpose, I don’t know. Just imagine a reality tv-show created just to observe this one weird little boy called Jason Phoon.

So sometimes I was paranoid, always wondering if someone was watching me. Even if no one was there I was kinda concious about what I did. Especially in the bathroom. Go ahead, try peeing while someone watches. It’s not a very nice feeling.

I also imagined that ‘they’ could read my thoughts. So anything impure or unacceptable I would try and censor myself. Can you imagine walking into a room and wondering if everyone could read your mind ?

Also when I die, the whole world would just pack up and say “oh look, the show’s over”.

Then I saw the movie , The Truman Show. Then I realise that I’m not the only one who thinks like that.

I’m glad that phase of my life is over.

I’m still a little paranoid about mind readers though. You never know, they could be anywhere.

shallow

Wednesday, June 14th, 2006

I feel cynical today. So I post about the asshat attraction between men and women. It gets really shallow from this point on. I got this from master theory ladder

Sad but true ya ?

my first tattoo

Monday, June 12th, 2006

Its on me leg. Above the ankle.

It means Intelligence in Tibetan.

It’s kinda itchy right now.

It hurt like constant vibrating injections during the tattooing. After a while, the hurt is kinda nice.

It was done at Borneo Ink, Desa Hartamas by Seaweed. Okay, her real name is Lina.

I’m thinking the blue is a little girlish. I wanna make it solid black instead. Sorry ya Lina, make you draw the earlier design, make it blue then wanna make it solid again. Maybe I like the needle pain lo.

Well , theres no scabs or anything at the moment. My leg isn’t even swelling yet. We’ll see how things go tomorrow.

Why Intelligence ? It’s what I want to be in the future. I feel very stupid sometimes. Plus it looked cool cause it was a vertical looking word.

^_^

update 12 April 2007 : I felt like after my job at (if ), my brain’s definitely sharper and I feel smarter !

Oh, when I went for the retouch, I made it black.

vulgarities

Friday, June 2nd, 2006
Ever since I started working at (if), I realise that my vocabulary has become somewhat more … ‘colorful’. We do have a terrible culture of cursing like sailors. Maybe that’s why we like Spongebob! Hahaha . I kidd … I kidd.

But seriously, I didn’t realise the extent of my vulgarity until one day when I was playing a boardgame with my former church friends and uttered:

MACHIBAI
( which roughly translates to maternal reproductive organ )

Then everyone stared at me for a while.

The other case which I could remember was when Ah Bonk was giving a lesson on SQL ( that’s database stuff ) and he wanted an example of what to give a property for a person. And I mentioned cock_size. He wrote cock_size on the board but also questioned “Oh man , Jason, what happened to you ?”

I replied “It’s from working here.”

Maybe I’m growing up after all.
