Batrachophobia

I have a severe dislike for frogs and toads. They are the evil spawn of hell . They are so yucky and icky. I once had a nightmare where thousands were swarming at me. If I was a superhero , my weakness would be frogs. But then again , maybe like Bruce Wayne I could overcome them by standing in a cave full of frogs. Yeah rite , It’ll be a cold day in hell before I do that ….

Anyways, in recent news, there have been news of exploding toads. Yep , exploding toads. They blow up , their entrails flying a meter high. Don’t take my word for it , check it out

Then there was this movie, Magnolia , where in the end , thousands of frogs fell from the sky like rain. Apparently they were swept up from a nearby swamp in a tornado or something.

Stuff of nightmares …..

jamais vu

Jamais Vu comes from the french word , meaning never seen. It is the exact opposite of Deja Vu, which means , already seen . A person experiencing jamais vu would have an experience of seeing something for the first time , even though he/she has done it many times before.

If only people could see life through less jaded eyes and see things anew . Like a new born baby. Notice how newborns are so much happier than older people ?

Fete de la Musique

Phew .. what a long day. Went to Fete de la Musique with Ashlin , Ruzian , Amin and Rais. It has some nice moments , sporadically. Mostly there were lots of mediocre bands performing.
But then there was Jabal, which was truly awesome. They had :

a didgeridoo
indian percussions
chinese Er-hu
acoustic guitar
drums

Played beautifully , plus the backdrop of falling leaves make for an ethereal 5+ minutes.

Ashlin was lucky enough to win a MP3 player. Lucky girl , I bet she didn’t regret going to the show. Amin was tired mostly , complaining like an old man . Rais was damn happy to see Japanese GT babes. Ruzian was great company, with jokes like “Maybe she wants to pee on the tree ?” . Not so funny ? You have to be there …

Went again at night, Vespertine performed. Cool band , with a great violin . Kinda sounds like Linkin Park though …

an unfortunate event …

Spontaneously , me and my friends decided to go Genting to drink cofee.

On the way there, I remembered I had a 4:30pm movie with Shufen. I totally forgot about it !! She’ll kill me for sure. So I called her up and said I couldn’t go because I needed to study for exam. So here we were :

Guess who I bumped into there ? Shufen . She was there on a business trip. Of all places , of all times. The movie was supposed to be 9:30pm anyway. I am such an idiot. Moral of the story ? Don’t lie … =)

Anyways, I had some good memories in Genting.
